Most of these are compensatory mechanisms that seem good to high IQ people because high IQ need them to compensate for the narowwness, shalowness, unreliability and inflexibility of tgeir thinking.

Intellectuals have typically near zero to appreciate music, or really anything else with any depth. Theur percetion gets skin deep. I bet most of them listen to classical music because it's a high IQ thing to do, and if they actually like any music, it's something simplistic.
