Hey all, just reposting this since it was removed for no reason.. this post is mainly directed at professors but anyone is welcome to contribute. I didnt know where else to post it on here except /adv/? Posted it here because its a science class.. but anywho..

Essentially, I had professor place a completely wrong final grade for me for last semester. Its nothing dramatic.. they just gave me a B+ over the C I knew Id got, but its something I've noticed nonetheless

I did not realize it until now given I was so confident in my calculations in how i would actually perform (and to my knowledge.. i still am actually correct). When I saw this.. my jaw dropped.

I am currently retaking this class with a much better professor because I wasn't quite happy with my grade last semester, but, I can drop it at this point- considering.

If I were to do so, what are the odds of the mistake being caught and grade being adjusted accordingly? Like in general.. unless it were a case where I were protesting my final grade, how likely is something like an incorrect final grade to be noticed on the teacher's end? By their own accord? How often do you guys review a previous semester for these sort of errors? Do you at all? Is this likely to be overlooked? What are the odds I could just forget about it and let it slide?

Grades have been finalized for close to 2 months now. My primary concern with doing so is if I choose to drop now, and it IS caught- while I wont be faulted directly, id now need to wait till next semester to register and pay for the course a 3rd time... on the contrary, I am swamped between all the classes I'm taking and a full time work schedule and this would make things much much easier...

Thank you ahead of time, and please, just give me objective and direct answers to what I'm asking. This is not meant to be a thread about ethics. That's another reason I am debating it, but its my own conundrum to sort out.

How much in percentage would you say are rednecks; normals and intellectuals? Without taking into account overgrown populations like asia, south america, middle east, africa.
I'd say based on nothing that 20% are redneckes, 60% normals and 20% intellectuals. The normals having school grades between 6-8 and the intellectuals 9-10
