They're lying, there's at 40k cases that weren't included in the current estimate.

http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/news/20200323_37/amp.html

https://amp.scmp.com/news/china/society/article/3076323/third-coronavirus-cases-may-be-silent-carriers-classified

>More than 43,000 people in China had tested positive for Covid-19 by the end of February but had no immediate symptoms, a condition typically known as asymptomatic, according to the data. They were placed in quarantine and monitored but were not included in the official tally of confirmed cases, which stood at about 80,000 at the time.

I'm more apt to believe the death count in China is under reported too. More than likely at least 6-7k total are dead there but not advertised.

>Not once in my entire lifetime (I'm only just under 30 though) have I seen actual educated health officials, epidemiologists, and doctors shitting themselves like this. Literally no one gave a fuck about Ebola or Zika, and MERS was noted to be non-pandemic b/c high fatality rate --> poor transmissibility.

No one gave a shit about Ebola because it showed easy to identify symptoms, killing the host preventing wide spread infection and the source was ill-cooked bush meat which the civilized doesn't into anymore. Zika's big thing was fucking over pregnant women who got infected.

Meanwhile Covid 19 basically exist as a big fuck you to the health care industry by hijacking herd immunity theory. A bunch of healthy people naturally protect the sick by reducing the chain of transmission that could feasibly reach them otherwise. But Covid 19 is different, it backdoors this process by making all the healthy people unsuspected carriers and picks off the sick with little attention to itself. Thus the healthy can unwittingly ignore it while the sick are galvanized by it.

The health care industry can't deal with such a virus because it requires mass scale scanning/rapid testing of the population. Which has not been done to such a degree thus experts are shitting themselves.

Not him but they probably do exist. The issue is that...

1.)can the virus make the species jump?
2.)is the virus highly volatile from surviving a more overactive immune system from the original animal it came from?

If either of these is a "no" then it will not be as bad as Ebloa, SARS or Corvid 19.
