For things that are little more than jobs programs, might as well spread the wealth around to all groups. Problem is that not everything is NASA. There is actual science that needs to be accomplished. Favoring diversity over merit gets in the way of scientific progress. Maybe we need two of everything, one merit based and the other parasite based. Let the parasite have their free meal as long as they stay out of the way of the people getting work done.
