Colonization attempts will be incredibly sensitive to cheap power, both for the spacecraft and the colony itself. In that regard most propulsion advocated in spaceflight circles is a dead-end beyond tangentially unlocking something better through the advancement of technology but that's at the expense of achieving things with more realistic methods, such a chemical, electric, and various types of beam-powered propulsion which can be done right now without handwavium. The 'just wait for better propulsion' crowd is full of bad actors and abhorrent autists that would rather nothing happen than it to happen in a way that they deem to be inferior.

Naturally all this limits us to inside the main asteroid belt where solar resources are plentiful and the transit time is reasonable but this is something we shouldn't delay any longer.

Are there orbital maneuvers within either LEO or MEO that would be unrealistic to make with a space tug because the deltaV needed is so great they would require a dedicated launch or a tug so large it wouldn't be economical to use? Something that actually makes sense based on common insertions, please, not 180 degree inclination changes or boosting to GEO from 200 km altitude.
