I am a math student who is taking E&M in the fall. How hard is it for someone who doesn't care for applications? I've taken PDEs and calculus and linear, i think that's all one would need. But I just don't care about physics at all.

What would happen if a sun made of ice would collide with a normal, lava-made sun?

Both suns would be the same size and ice-made sun's temperature would be -1000 degrees of celsius and normal sun's temperature +1000 degrees of celsius.

Would their combined effects cancel each other out so that instead there would be only empty space or one 0-degree sun?

Theoretically if this were to happen which sun would win?

Hey /sci/, I've been wondering this for a while now. What would happen if a sun made of fire and a sun made of ice were to collide? Would the ice sun extinguish the fire one, or would the fire one melt the ice one? Overall which one would win, and what would the aftermath look like? Thanks in advance.

Not exactly sure what I saw last night(few hours ago) but I figure this is the best place to ask as there are no astronomy boards.

I saw a star like object but it was much brighter than all of the other stars in the night's sky. The big difference though was it was rapidly changing colors from maybe red, blue, green, and white.

After a while it just seemed to grow dimmer and I looked away for a moment and when I looked back up it faded away completely. What exactly was in?

I'm in Florida btw if that matters.
