What is status signalling? Wouldn't that be more a cultural or societal point of inference that some members find themselves in? I've never responded specifically to status myself nor been required to capitulate to status for my happiness or survival or sociability but am extremely interested in what those signals might be.

Mostly because if I can teach others how to block status signals relative to their usual lifestyle it would probably be beneficial for society as a whole. I'm also curious as to why interesting pieces of speech occur consistently when status signals are removed.
