The reason why /sci/ hates pop-sci is not because it has poor quality, is misleading or is politicized. It's because /sci/ is massively elitists and hates the idea of "normal" people getting access to scientific concepts.

Goddamn I remember the times where science was supposed to make you feel stupid the more you get into it.
It was never settled, nothing was prohibited from study. No banned or taboo themes. Because we knew that we dont really know shit.
Now it looks like "Science" is a cult with defined priests, dogma and rituals.
