What's going on as far as designer babies go? What strides are being made to fight against Darwinism? What are the ethical discussions being had about this issue? Any books you'd recommend me?

Mainstream culture seems to try to sweep the natural selection problem under the rug, but surely there's something going on that is trying to address this cosmic inequality. Who are the prominent thinkers in this area?

Why is it such bullshit?

Is the term Neural Network a meme? Isn't it just making a simulation with little or no seeded data and biasing an algorithm to "learn" the outcome you want in the simulation? It seems like marketing speak to me and that most things called neural networks are just simulations of simple phenomenon with a fancy name.
