hey /sci/, i post here much too much to be healthy (mostly on physics things) and im kinda drunk right now, and despite my better instincts, i'll post this

i have some sort of anxiety issue related to driving (cars) ever since i had an accident while driving on a highway.

i just get nervous before going to drive on the highway, and it gets bad. i get very sharp chest pains, mostly. specifically, i start feeling tightness in my chest way before i even enter the highway -- just as i decide to start heading out on my road trip, the chest pains start

it's not that i'm hung up on the accident i had. i know full well that i did exactly the right thing to minimize risk during my car accident (and i was totally fine, and my car only needed a minor bumper replacement). but something about highway driving, for me, definitely causes weird chest pains now.

i think it's just anxiety. and then i focus on my worries and my pains, and i think i am psychosomatically causing myself chest pains every time i want to take a drive on a highway
