Friendly reminder that Imperial units are galaxy brain-tier. The metric system was designed for communists, Frenchmen, and other mongoloids that are incapable of memorization and simple mathematics.

The metric system is a bunch of kike globalist French garbage. The fact that Brits unironically use it is pathetic. Funnily enough, their adoption of the metric system coincided with the same time that the Empire fell apart and they faded into obscurity, kek.

All jokes and /pol/ shit aside, why hasn't the EU or the world in general pushed for a base 12 system? I like the concept of the metric system--standardized measurements help out with calculations greatly. Even as an Americlap, I've learned to judge how far a meter or centimeter is just like an inch or yard. It's very convenient.

The imperial system evolved because 12 was divisible yet reasonably small, and even today that is its greatest argument--easily recognizable and mentally quantifiable (if that's even a phrase) fractions. Granted, we have 10 fingers and thus it's easy to count, but... what other benefits are there to base 10 over base 12? Base 12 is very easy to count, and is doable on one hand. You count the segments on each of your fingers.

I'm curious to see what /sci/ thinks.

The real difference between the U.S's units of measurement and the rest of the World's units of measurement.
