Luckily I found that at least in the cases I was/am involved it doesn't occur. The real ones prove themselves rather fast (know what they talk about, do the right stuff, know when they're wrong or have to ask) and are welcomed.

Those are among the worst. Especially when "TEDx Speaker" is part of their professional profile. Next to "Women in Space advocate" or "caring about inclusion" etc.
