Can someone explain to me why horizontal velocity isn't affected by gravity? I don't understand why gravity wouldn't be dragging it downwards.

Has anyone taken the ACS exam this year for Ochem? If so, could you give me some insight into how hard you thought it was and what to focus on studying?

Quick /sci/, give me a topic that has something to do with physics to write a popular scientific article on. Nothing too hard, bonus points if it's something current.

Do we live in an analog or digital universe?

As in, are the position of waves and particles infinitely diiferent, or is there a measurable minimum increment between two things?

Also, would an analog, deterministic universe be possible?

>how could B = A?

The way you put it, it can't. Unless B = 0, in which case:

A = (A + B)
A = (A + 0)
A = A (which is true)

Why are women still allowed to speak at TED talks ?
>implying ted.com/talks/faith_jegede_what_i_ve_learned_from_my_autistic_brothers.html

There is literally no good talk from a woman there, and we can go to negative numbers when we take science related talks in to account

Hello /sci/ i'm going into fourth year and I just got kicked out of honors economics. 'Why?' you ask? Well it's because I took a lot of relatively difficult optional math courses and a very heavy summer school schedule, leaving me without breaks and stuff.

My GPA fell below the minimum thingy.

Anyways i'm going in to the U today at three to not appeal the decision, but talk about* appealing the decision. (rather or not I should, I suppose)

Anyways i'm not even sure BA Honors Economics is the best degree for me. Looking at my transcript, my course pickings more accurately describes someone in BSc Math+Econ. And the GPA requirement is a 2.3, not 3.3....

Anyways, even though I have way too many credz, i'm going to be missing a couple baby courses...

Oops. Better stop writing there. Looks like every thread is a troll thread right now :x

Hey /sci/, I don't think this is totally board-appropriate but I come to you as a humble student in need of your sagely advice.

I have a statistics final in about an hour and a half. It covers regressions, sign tests, hypothesis testing, ANOVAs, that kind of shit.

I've studied like hell over the past two days, and I feel like I have a good grasp of the subject material, but I ALWAYS flub the details on math tests including not being able to remember all the appropriate formulas.

I need all the little tips and tricks you guys can offer. I'm a good test taker, but maths fuck me up something special. This is a big final for me and I need to do well.
