what's your experience been with learning from textbooks and MOOCs? I find I get too easily distracted on my computer, and that I can focus better on textbooks. Plus the progression one feels when going through a textbook feels so rewarding. But MOOCs are free.

This isn't homework, I'm just curious.

Why do people on this board want to have an IQ of 160+?

I'd much rather not be socially autistic but still intelligent in my 135-145 range

anything lower is dumb and anything higher leads to social ostracization

if you are intelligent enough, it should be obvious that there is no point in being depressed, have anxiety, low self esteem etc. you are literally throwing yourself under the bus.

it is merely your own brain trying to sabotage you. anyone intelligent enough should be able to see right through such primitive thought patterns (threat system).

by being depressed etc. you are making your own life more difficult and it would probably be getting in the way of your own success. thus a truly intelligent person would dedicate their brain power to external energies, rather than fighting themself.

is it this simple or is it more complex than that?

Everything comes down to a 50/50 probability.

Just think about it. Something either happens or it doesn't. It's always a 50/50 chance every second for anything to happen. Just look at quantum mechanics. The cat will either be dead or alive. It's all just a 50/50 chance for every quantum possibility, which means that everything fundamentally must also be 50/50 chance as well.

I feel very enlightened upon realizing this and it has raised my self confidence just as much as it has raised my intelligence. I want others to glean insight from this conclusion into their studies and personal lives so they may feel as good as I do right now.

Does the universe actually exist? Even outside human thinking?

Why do schools even exist anymore? I could never learn anything beyond basic mathematics and now I'm teaching myself calculus thanks to the internet and books.
