Un barrio, el barrio más pobre, de una ciudad paupérrima, es donde se encuentra nuestra historia. Hay una pequeña niña, no mayor de unos cinco o seis años. Se la ve algo sucia y desabrida. En su pequeña casa, hecha con cartón y pedazos de madera que su familia ha recolectado, se encuentra en su interior una escena que ella desearía que no existiera. Sus padres están discutiendo desde hace varias horas, peleando porque han descubierto que su hermano mayor ha comenzado a robar y su padre lo ha descubierto. Maldito, con que así me pagas, desgraciado, yo que me mato tanto para que puedan comer y así me pagas, pero ya veras. Su madre esta llorando por esa situación. Mientras todo esto sucede, nuestra niña, la niña de la historia, suspira viendo las grises nubes de su maldita ciudad. Entre tanto, un perro le ha traído un pequeño globo, ese es el perro del vecino, un pequeño canino que se ve que aguanta pena y hambre. La niña solo puede tomar el pequeño globo y abrazarlo, para olvidar la situación de su familia. Mañana sera otro día mejor, piensa ella.
