What would have Nietzsche thought of the Tao Te Ching, Zhuangzi, and Taoism in general?

What's the best translation/translator of his work? I heard that Kaufmann is good, but apparently he also tried to "course-correct" a lot of Nietzsche's thoughts.

They're not reading Nietzsche in prisons and asylums they're reading the Bible. Nobody doing a few decades hard time has ever said that Nietzsche was the strength that got him through.

I think that Nietzsche's critiques of morality are hampered by his need to explain them *historically*. While I think there is value in trying to understand the origins of modern moral values (as he laid out in his genealogy), I think understanding where they CAME from is not as important as understanding why they still persist. Yes, there may have been a slave revolt in morality; but does this mean that modern morals of equality are "pure"? I don't think so. Could it not be explained that modern peoples' preference for things like equality are ALSO based in resentment and desire for power? Do we not see this "resentiment" on display, even today?

Maybe I missed something, but in Nietzsche's writings, I see mostly a historical explanation of the evolution of morals. I do not see many claims that people championing equality, even in the present, also have these questionable and un-admitted desires for power and envy.

Can someone help explain this passage from Twilight of the Idols? I'm a bit lost on it.

My impossibles. -- Seneca: or the toreador of virtue. -- Rousseau: or the return to nature in impuris naturalibus. -- Schiller: or the Moral-Trumpeter of Sackingen. -- Dante: o the hyean which poetizes on graves. -- Kant: or cant as intelligible character. -- Victor Hugo: or the Pharos in the Sea of Absurdity. -- Lizst: or the virtuoso -- with women. George Sand: or lactea ubertas, in English: the milch cow with the 'fine style'. -- Michelet: or enthusiasm which strips off the jacket. -- Carlyle: or pessimism as indigestion. -- John Stuart Mill: or offensive clarity. -- Les freres de Goncourt: or the two Ajaes struggling with Homer. Music by Offenbach. Zola: or 'delight in stinking'. --

Which is the better collection of the writings of Nietzsche: The Portable Nietzsche or The Basic Writings of Nietzsche?
The Portable Nietzsche contains the complete texts of Twilight of the Idols, The Antichrist, Nietzsche Contra Wagner, and Thus Spoke Zarathustra. It also contains excerpts from the rest of his works, as well as from his notes and correspondences.
The Basic Writings of Nietzsche contains the complete texts of The Birth of Tragedy, Beyond Good and Evil, On the Genealogy of Morals, The Case of Wagner, and Ecce Homo. It also contains excepts from Human All Too Human, Mixed Opinions and Maxims, The Wanderer and His Shadow, The Dawn, and The Gay Science.
Both are edited and translated by Kaufmann.

According to N, everything is Will to Power, so I assume sex drive is only an extension of this too.

Sex drive = more offspring = more people carrying your genes = greater power in numbers?

>Hear great things about pic related
>Try reading this niggas works
>It’s just him shitting on Christianity and Christians over and over again
Was he the original fedora tipper that people identify themselves with? I see nothing of substance nor value within his writing, and I’d heavily recommend my peers here to avoid his works due to this lack of quality.
