There's absolutely nothing wrong with splitting the infinitive. It sounds natural and right.
There's nothing wrong with using a plural pronoun to describe a person of indeterminate gender in subjunctive scenarios. It's logical.
I also don't care about 'fewer' and 'less' and their fucking difference. I'll use whichever one feels best, dare to stop me.
