Never been into reading. However, I'm starting to think that maybe Kaczynski was right and that I should try to seek less entertainment from electronics and more from paper? Should I really start with the Greeks?

>> No.9254167

No, start with roman adapatations of greek plays by Plautus and Terence, then read the greeks.

If you really think Kaczynski was right, you should move to a cabin in the woods and survive on what you can gather or catch. Not even memeing you btw, I have seriously considered doing the same.

Read
"The Perfect Crime" by Jean Baudrillard
"The Culture Industry" by Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer
"A Thousand Plateaus" and "Postscript on the Societies of Control" by Gilles Deleuze
"Hegemony and Socialist Strategy" by Ernesto Laclau
"Pedagogy of the Oppressed" by Paulo Freire,

Then you'll be ready.

Nah don't even bother. Hegel, Nietzsche and Marx, Pascal as well maybe. Then Kierkegaard, then go onto French existentialists Sarte, Beauvoir, Camus. That's all you need for ultimate truth.

are you guys fucking crazy?
OP has read 4 books.
you're going to put him off reading forever - that shit is great but be serious.

How about something short and sweet AND great, like:

Meditations
Animal Farm
Common Sense
Notes from the Underground
The Overcoat
In Praise of Folly
Chess Story
The Law (Bastiat)

or Three Men in a Boat if you want a laugh

That is off to a bad start.

>Animal farm

Might as well just tell the poor little fucker to read The Communist Manifesto.

And besides, Orwell's best book is 1984. Animal farm was not anything special.

>and that I should try to seek less entertainment from electronics and more from paper?

except that's not what Kaczysnki said. He thought having any hobbies at all is bad. The best lifestyle is hunting rabbits and making porridge. According to Kaczynski, people who read a lot of books are just like leftists.

He was a retard.
