Are there any secondary sources which are more worth reading?

I don't know much about it, sry.

The easy way to get into Foucault is probably thet back door. That is, posthumous texts (many of them short enough, including interviews).
The Essential Works of Foucault 1954-1984:
Vol. 1 - Ethics: Subjectivity and Truth (New Press 2006)
Vol. 2 - Aesthetics, Method, and Epistemology (NP, 2006)
Vol. 3 - Power ( New Press, 2001)

I'm not saying his main works can't be read but they always left me hopeless very quickly.
