What author will help me understand the mentality of japanese girls?
Mishima or Murakami?

>> No.7848651

Murakami writes magical realism so his girls are always a bit more fantasy than realistic

Mishima doesn't really write too much about girls

Kawabata was decent at it

Nonfiction would be more useful. There's a lot to get through and a more direct approach than fiction is helpful. Japan is like fucking Mars, culturally and it can have a big impact on interracial relationships even with a relatively whitewashed Japanese girl.

That said, Murakami's popularity with Japanese girls should tip you off that there's nothing special about them as a group. He's all style no substance. I've found that things with interesting styles but no substance behind them go over really well commercially in Japan with regards to literature, music and visual art.
