It's at least a discussion worth having. Is the purpose of Literature purely for entertainment? Is the purpose of Art to induce pleasure? Is it somewhere in the middle?
Harry Potter films are pretty entertaining, such as some Rihanna songs, so on.. but are they art? What is it that makes them entertainment products and not art? And if they are Art, are they therefore similar to works such as The Odyssey?
