What would have happened if Marx had embraced the ideas of Stirner, instead of trying to refutate him? What would have been the form of the USSR (or whatever that would have taken its place ) ?

Communism and Islam would have won.

we're in for a good thread

Russia would have joined the First World. I can't really see Egoism becoming a worldwide thing, people simply cannot tolerate a world that unpredictable. Remember what Stirner said about Humans, routines and heaven? That's exactly why - the unfamiliar is "unhuman".

You know, English isn't everyone's native language.

Many individuals becoming conscious Stirnerian egoists would be even harder to achieve than communism.
Nobody seems to have been able to formulate a guide on how to be that permanently aware and disciplined.

I think Marx hated Stirner to much for that to have ever have happened. Engels on the other hand kindaof had a minor bromance with Stirner. There could have been some serious synergy between Engels and Stirner. Without Engels Marx would have been noting. Engels could have guided Stirner on and disciplined him.
