Those of you more in-touch with Star Wars know that the Extended Universe (EU) was trashed in the more recent past, and with it some great work...

My question is, what would you like to see recovered, reformed, revamped or just plain created?

The new EU will never reach the low, low lows of the old EU, because Disney now has quality control.

However, it will never reach the heights (and there were heights) of the old EU either, because of those same controls. Disney will make sure everything is safe, comfortable, ad marketable, like any good hypercapitalist enterprise. We'll never again get something as odd (but as good) as Tales of the Jedi or Knights of the Old Republic 2.

Sure, it sort of twists and warps the entire point of Star Wars, but it's a pretty brilliant twisting and warping. I'm surprised no one thought of it sooner.

Mara should be gone. Luke should be an ascetic kind of Jedi Master in the vein of Yoda. Kind of a second (better) pass at the weird Zen that the Old Republic had, but not entirely selfless since the Force has been unified.

If I remember it right Chris Avellone hated the whole concept of the Force and managed to write it through Kreia in a bit more entertaining and complex way than the average writer who worked on the franchise.
