Do people on /lit/ actually believe Terry Pratchet is plebian? Poetry achieves beauty through limitations, and Terry Pratchet is the poetry of prose. The moon landing was an achievement because of the limitations on us, not because of our freedom. Literary fiction is pretentious and out of touch.

Yes, his books are pretty pleb, but they are the very top of pleb literture. They may not be deep, but they are very fun to read. Sadly /lit/ raging elitism doesn't let people here realize that not every book has to touch the very essence of existance. Some books just provide entertainment and Pratchett was great at this.
