Should I bother learning Spanish or any foreign language if I have no interest in the culture or connections to the country or aspirations to live anywhere except English speaking countries?

>have been half assedly learning spanish for a year

I guess that reading foreign books is my only goal but I don't see how it can be that rewarding. I only picked Spanish because it was the easiest.

Spanish's simplicity is overrated. Just learn whatever interests you the most. If you want a really easy language for a native English speaker try Norwegian or Danish, but only if you like the literature and culture.

Is Spanish easy to learn if i'm already pretty fluent in German, is there a language that's easy to learn if I already know German? I've been learning some latin in my classics class, should i just learn basic latin? I don't want to turn into Jon Stoner tho.

I should also add that I chose Spanish because more people speak it and many German speakers speak English.

I also get worried that I may be in a Spanish speaking country with other people and then there are Spanish speaking women nearby and I try to use my meh Spanish to talk to them and then they ignore me and then an English only speaking chad comes along and flirts with them and takes them away for sex and then people realise that I spent my spare time learning verb conjugation with no reward to show for it
