http://freethoughtblogs.com/blaghag/2012/08/how-i-unwittingly-infiltrated-the-boys-club-why-its-time-for-a-new-wave-of-atheism/

>It’s time for a new wave of atheism, just like there were different waves of feminism. I’d argue that it’s already happened before. The “first wave” of atheism were the traditional philosophers, freethinkers, and academics. Then came the second wave of “New Atheists” like Dawkins and Hitchens, whose trademark was their unabashed public criticism of religion. Now it’s time for a third wave – a wave that isn’t just a bunch of “middle-class, white, cisgender, heterosexual, able-bodied men” patting themselves on the back for debunking homeopathy for the 983258th time or thinking up yet another great zinger to use against Young Earth Creationists. It’s time for a wave that cares about how religion affects everyone and that applies skepticism to everything, including social issues like sexism, racism, politics, poverty, and crime. We can criticize religion and irrational thinking just as unabashedly and just as publicly, but we need to stop exempting ourselves from that criticism.

These people really are insane. The Atheism + had a rule that said you weren't allowed to argue with someone that says you're privileged regardless of the context. Christianity isn't just about "not killing", it's about guilt and the concept of "evil" and caring for the weak. Look into first civilizations, they cared more about power than anything. Nonsensical killing was bad for their strength as a civilization, they also had no concept of universal compassion.

Gender is a lingustic construct
Stop talking about it and stop enforcing the social roles gendered language enforces and it'll go away
If you really care you'll do that
If you don't actually particularly care about gender you'll keep making a fuss about it on the Internet
Read some continental philosophy, like the other guy said Americans should. I'm trying to force Continental ideas on my American friends because it's pathetic how small-minded their worldviews tend to be, and we go to a university that claims to enlighten and euphoricize everyone there.

I don't think I'm any smarter than they are, but I think it's worth knowing what everyone involved in a struggle thinks about the issue. When you know what everyone thinks, you can examine the issue and see what is common to all solutions, what is factually a part of the problem (this part is vital), and find what the best way to act on the issue is. You may not find the right thing, so you'll have to re-test your hypothesis. This is a constant process. Criticism of ideology is perpetual.

Read Hegel and Zizek.

Not really. There is no reasoning behind it, at least not today anymore. It is simply more of a moral feeling than anything, and in large part it was always this. You will see the reasoning behind it only if you look at the origins, which is in part the weak's lust for power over the strong - one way to interpret the figure of monotheistic God.
