So are you reading Stirner or Witt?

>> No.5207706

>>5207699
Both. The idea of the thread is that I've always wnated to know how language is learnt and Witt's
"What cannot be said, we must pass over in silence" is a thing for me.
Also, it has tons of shit to do with computer science and logic programming I suppose.

You know that must isn't a moral instruction there?

>> No.5207745

>>5207706
He says that in the Tractatus, not Investigations

But yeah Witt was really interested in psychology and even wanted to be a psychologist. One of his best friends, Maurice Drury, studied under him to be a philosopher and Witt advised him to become a psychologist instead. Drury has written a book called "The Danger of Words" about language and psychology which has been called the most Wittgensteinian text not written by the man himself. I have not read it though as I believe it is very difficult to get a hold of.

I tried Plato. I started it. I'll read it when I feel like it. If I read it now, I'll be forcing myself to do it and I don't wanna do that.
Some Kierkegarrd was included in in Denial of Death by Ernest Becker so Im familiar with the guy.
Im only reading books that attract my interest not the ones Im supposed to, Reading books that im supposed to for my studies is enough.

That is literally the only reason. The people who major in CS are literally fucking retarded, philistine fuckfaces who constantly brag/obsess about money and material status. You don't major in CS, you suffer through it.

Exactly right. Analytical philosophy is a bourgeois mysticism that has brought humanity to the brink, whereas continental philosophy evolves directly from the lived experience of the labouring masses and has informed more revolts against the value form than you've had hot blowjobs.
