Do you understand the following? I posted it in /adv/ but they say they can't comprehend it. It makes sense to me. I told them to read it slowly and carefully but they seem too stupid

"which came first in sadomasochism?
sadism - because you feel bad for hurting others, thus seek out 'deserved' punishment for yourself
or
masochism - you feel like you deserve to hurt others after putting yourself through a lot of pain first / you feel like you've been duped somehow into hurting yourself and now you want to take out revenge on others

is that how sadomasochism works?"

Why does this section suck so much?

>> No.4857746

there are many reasons for sadomasochism. a lot of it has to do with power, but power and self-loathing still only account for a portion of why S&M is a thing.

you are trash for thinking these are the only possible reasons for S&M to exist, but I guess it IS pretty obvious from your inability to really express your ideas fully and cogently that you probably aren't the best at brain.

this is absolutely atrocious diction but I'll bite anyways
masochism absolutely precedes its prefix in that term, as is clear if you have a basic understanding of the human endocrine system. an individual can enjoy the endorphins stemming from its own pain long before it can have the mental capacity to deliberately inflict pain on others.

what is 'non-atrocious' diction?
just because you have to read it slowly and carefully or re-read it does not mean it's atrocious diction. it means you're lazy or unintelligent.

why? the peripheries of the nervous system form before the vast bulk of the thinking portion of the brain. an infant can cry and whine and be a misery to its parents but it isn't self-aware enough to understand this, yet anybody knows that they will recoil from a painful stimulus instantaneously

We don't know that. Your one example is not proof of that.

Have you met a serious sadomasochist before? They're into both, always. If they claim they aren't, they're hiding the other side to their frustration.

Okay, technically one happens before the other. But it doesn't matter which happens first, because the one ALWAYS leads to the other right after it.

I know it is a cylce, that's what I implied in OP by contemplating which comes first?
Sometimes cycles end? (I haven't thought enough about that)
But cycles (or a cycle, if it never ends) has a beginning.

Yes it does. The impulse to be cruel to anything rises alongside a disturbed connection with the self. Both are signs of a lack of self-love.
