I have done normal business journalism and it is very dry but it pays the bills. Mostly news and copy for Wall Street like in Bartleby, the Scrivener.

Hype around the "Great Russian Literature" was created by the Kremlin to improve the attitude towards its nation in other countries. Dostoevsky is pretty bad as a writer btw, maybe incels unironically like read his garbage.

/pol/ and /k/ fags on suicide watch. Dostoyevskiy isn’t even considered the greatest Russian author. Pushkin is, followed by Lermontov. Neither of these are well-known outside of Russia. Dostoyevskiy is perceived as run of the mill author among many in the Russian tradition. But, of course, it’s the Russians who implanted all that Dosto fanboyism into Westerners heads, it’s the only way.

Do Russians even read or is this just based on how much of a Chad the author was? I mean, I love Lermontov, but he only wrote one book, a pretty pulpy one at that. Pushkin I only know for his dueling and fucking.

Just because you don’t know something doesn’t mean that everyone else doesn’t, schizo.

>Pushkin
Goethe for the poor. I don’t understand why you need to read this if you’re not a Russian schoolchild. It’s just a national poet.
