No one ever talks about the scene where Mario gets molested in the woods by the burly lass, blissfully unaware at what's happening to him.

>> No.22817330

>What Mario perceived as a sudden radical drop in the prevailing temperature was in fact the U.S.S. Millicent Kent's sexual stimulation sucking tremendous quantities of ambient energy out of the air surrounding them.
One of my favorite lines from the book.

I know this is asking a lot by /lit/ standards, but maybe you should pick up a copy and start reading it.

The tranny suffers more than anyone else but he suffers because heroin addict not because tranny. It is empathetic towards everyone so might not suit someone worries about things being woke.

Actually, it is not particularly empathetic towards ideologues.

Gravity's Rainbow is the Evangelion of literature. Hell End of Evangelion feels like an adaptation of GR Part 4 at points.

Gravity's Rainbow is too much of a clusterfuck for me to want to read for now. What other books end in an EOE-like apocalyptic ritual-prophecy-psychodrama? Other than Book of Revelation

It's not woke. Everyone (aside from one person) basically sees this crossdressing (for lack of a better, quick use term) US operative in terms of "you will never be a woman". And Steeply's many manly traits are mentioned. I would say it's particularly unfriendlyv verbiage conceptually to the sort of brand of transexual that would be considered like objectively sensitive.

And yeah Poor Tony, who I guess is more transexual than crossdresser? IJ is basically a snuff film if you're only looking at what happens to Poor Tony.

>Everyone (aside from one person)
I have never seen anyone put Steeply in the wynbaw context, book is very clear that he is doing it for the job and not personal reasons. Before he was a woman he was a Haitian and before that a monk of some cultish sort and he shaved his head and had his teeth pulled. His job is his heroin and will accept any humiliation or loss for that job, he is no different than Poor Tony.

I read this book in one sitting as a challenge from my daughter. She promised me a blowjob if I succeeded. I did.
