Was it worth it getting friendzoned by a beautiful girl when prior to that, you hadn't even touched a girl's hand?

Since I went through a similar experience, I'd yes. It was worth it. I still have fond memories of the girl who almost became my first gf. Since that was the closest thing to having a romantic relationship I've had.

I'm the opposite. The heartbreak isn't worth it.

Getting your worldview shaken up from time to time is good, it beats being set in your ways

That is a very sad story. One of the better Dosto books because it’s just a slice of life story and not some propaganda against atheists or whatever. There wasn’t really a bad guy in this and the main character took his suffering like a man. Great novella.

Everything is "worth it". Bad experiences are as important as good ones.
The intensity of feelings is all that matters, and in the protag's case, that girl basically tore him out of his custom built fantasy world. This will either ruin him, or it will be the start of his new, actual life.

I'd have gladly passed on my similar experience, though I'm thankful it did not go any further
I feel like I got off lightly. Romance isn't for everyone, one might be better off just finishing with all the chips you start with.

The segment where he describes that he is a dreamer is amazing.

I recommend this to NTR fans.

I would rather never have experienced a missed a romance. It's just a burden on the mind and spirit.

>that part where they both become feverish for a mad moment talking about their new "future" together, when she's convinced the man won't come
