Where do I start with him? Is there a recommended reading order?

Start with the Organon.

Didn't you have to take some BS philosophy classes at your college/university?
IMO start with Metaphysics or better yet just read a sparknotes summary of all his books since philosophy is so overly verbose and takes 300 pages to say 5 pages of info

Nicomachean Ethics or De Anima.

I would start with him chronologically and only read his notable and important works

Read Heidegger's essays on his writings while you read his texts.

Organon, metaphysics, ethics, politics, rhetoric. If you are shooting for the 100% then all of natural philosophy goes in-between organic and metaphysics, but it is almost entirely obsolete at this point.

What happens if you skip the Organon?

If you are already in possession of the necessary logic then nothing. If you don't possess the necessary logic the rest of his works won't be as meaningful and you can always stop back in to make threads about it and we will tell you that you were filtered and should have started with Plato and the Organon.

Okay thanks the latter sounds best.

I started with this and decided that I don't give a single solitary fuck about anything other than the Nichomachean Ethics and maybe the Metaphysics

I've read almost all the Aristotle you mentioned without organon and it's easy enough. Metaphysics is a bit dense but if you have functioning knowledge of basic logic and can keep track of his terminology you can get through it. I think Aristotle's reputation for difficulty is a bit of a meme.
Anyways where do I go after Metaphysics? Aristotle's assertions about the necessity of a First Cause and the impossibility of infinite progressions/reductions are flawed. Someone told me to go straight into Nietzsche but that seems a little suspect.

Nietzsche might be right up your alley.

A surprising number of people get filtered out by the logic component, if you aren't one of them then congrats! Nichomachean ethics is generally held to be the next one to read but it is only a recommendation. My personal opinion is that first cause was the result of philosophical laziness. I suppose you can read whatever you want to next, Nietzsche tends to hang around the idea of eternal recurrence, but he certainly wasn't the originator or even the best advocate of it.

>recommends Nicomachean Ethics to someone saying they've finished Aristotle
?

The anon asked where to go after metaphysics. The same anon says they have skipped chunks of Aristotle. Said anon has not finished Aristotle. Your inquiry doesn't make much sense.
