Plutarch's Lives or Parallel Lives, whatever the title is, has Theseus encountering some serial killers whom he slays with their own implements of torture and murder.

Some Filipino folklore I read over the summer kind of has the serial killer vibes for some reason. Like the protagonists of some of folk stories seem like serial killers for some reason. Not all of the stories, but only a few.

watching Thai TV shows for years really opened my eyes to how everyday attitudes there are very different than in the West.
