I think it’s sort of crazy because in his time, one didn’t even need a law degree to practice law and any man capable of writing like that could’ve easily been a successful attorney and managed a lifestyle that didn’t have them working all the time. Nowadays, you’ll work all the time and get paid peanuts, and then there’s all the law school debt. But back then? It wasn’t like that at all.
