I pulled myself out witchcraft and degeneracy by dipping my toes into feminist biblical studies. I was hungry for God but needed Him to meet me where I was at. That started me on my journey to converting to Catholicism because I came to value what God wants for my life and the truth more than my own feelings and preferences at the time. But if you reccomend these kinds of books to someone like that you can't guarantee he will move on from liberal protestant Christianity to seeking the truth instead of staying in a comfortable denomination like Anglicanism, so I don't know if this should be reccomended for everyone in that position.
