Anyone have suggestions for more sci fi like pic related? Looking for stories about characters who increase their intelligence to the point where they can no longer relate to normal humans. And no Flowers for Algernon thanks, I'm looking for actually good stories.

That's the premise of the story Understand. You follow the narrator's journal as he goes from normal guy to savant to superintelligence to some kind of transcendent demigod. It's well written tho by necessity becomes hard to understand by the end.

I kinda wish that they made a movie from Understand instead of the title story. Tho Arrival fucked up and dumbed down the original story so bad that maybe I'm glad they didn't do that to Understand.
