From an interview with Renato Del Ponte about Julius Evola:

You scattered his ashes in the mountains, right?

Yes, even though it was illegal to do so. Evola's cremation took place in a very theatrical manner. The gravedigger, who was a grotesque one-eyed dwarf, placed the corpse on a metal cart on top of a wood pyre. That cemetery had no crematorium ovens, so they burned the dead by means of a pyre, as is also done in Tibet. I watched it burn, and saw the body suddenly rise up as if it were alive as it was devoured by flames. It was incredible (...) Evola did not want to scatter his ashes on just any mountain. He asked us to crumble them in the wind in a precise place: on the Lyskamm glacier. Eugenio David, who was Evola's friend, was a famous mountaineer and accompanied us on the sacred mission to that precise place.

What is special about the Lyskamm Glacier?

In 1778, mountaineers went to the Central European Alps in search of the town of Felik in a beautiful valley. It is a paradisiacal place, spelled out in the arpitan folk tales of the Swiss and the inhabitants of Valle d'Aosta who still remember it. Mountaineers wandered for days in search of this enchanted valley at the foot of Monte Rosa, but they never found it. And yet, the existence of this valley and the marvellous village was witnessed by wayfarers who had the good fortune to cross the Alps and who, by chance, arrived there. From 1778 until today, the village of Felik has still not been found, so it is assumed that it was submerged by a glacier, along with the entire lost valley. It is a legendary place, a symbol of a paradise on earth. It is the crystal-towered Shamballa of our latitudes. Evola reached it by becoming part of the wind.
