It was fall
He had an egg for health class
I also enjoy the fact that Greg staring at an egg on the cover of the book is in essence an innuendo

The only part I remember was the bit about the Trojan Horse

Yeah the illiad is not memorable at all for some reason. Had some cool parts with fighting the river and getting shield or armor or whatever and hector and the baby and all that but all and all Odyssey is better I think.

Patrick Modiano.

I've got three of his shorter novels on my shelf and I couldn't tell you what they're about. WW2? Least memorable nobel laureate by fucking far.

>> No.21722701

anything from fucking bukowski.
"Factotum" is 80% him looking for a job, then some sex, getting drunk etc. Its a shitshow.
"Ham on Rye" is ok just because henry chinaski is like 10 and the story is just sex, getting drunk and fighting.

Uhh, excuse me sweaty, the Torjan horse was not even mentioned within the Iliad.

The moments that stand out are the moments that aren't just simply men fighting. Hephaistos making Achilles' shield, Achilles seeing a guy he thought was dead and thinking he's a clone, Apollo slapping Patroclus on the back and making Achilles' armour fall off, Hector with his wife, the games at the end. Diomedes attacking Ares and Aphrodite and Hector/Ajax throwing rocks at each other are memorable because they're not 'he was stabbed and fell over'.

I didn't learn a single thing from this book aside from the fact that Huxley thinks praying gives you supernatural powers

Things I remember:
>"Horselover Fat" means "Philip Dick" I guess
>It's also a retarded name for an MC
>"The empire never ended" means nothing, it clearly ended.
