My 'philosophical' effortposts get around 2-5 responses. I made a plato shitpost about a supposedly extant letter and that got more replies but not enough. Eh, I know that if I talk about my favorites books nobody would respond because nobody has actually read them. Niels Lyhne, Mogens, Swann's Way and Rasselas, Prince of Abyssinia are my favorites. My interest in them lies in their prose and in how lovely they express their ideas.

I effortpost entirely for myself and always have. Sometimes I get interesting opposition (rarely), but the central impetus is for myself. I find great joy in thinking and in trying to come up with original and interesting thoughts, and writing them out helps in that process. If some anons enjoy them, OK, that's fine, but it was for me all along.

Of course, most of the opposition you will get here is empty posturing and retarded belligerence. I can find that enjoyable as well, sometimes. Every once in a while it just feels good to trash-talk some retarded faggot for being a retarded faggot. It's a filthy habit for the mentally unwell, but whatever, we can't all be boring normies.
