Never discuss that which you don't understand, and never claim to understand anything you do not. If you want to discuss things, study them. I recommend you start with the Greeks.

Troll. Rest of the "advice" is reddit tier. That's exactly how you BECOME pseud. Hyperspecialized brainlet who can't say shit unless professor permits him, while high on self produced ammonia methane from being such a domesticated tool.

I believe you can't, unless you forfeit your desire for knowledge altogether. "Intellectuals" are pseuds by definition, some just less tame than others.

I'd say listen to others and never subscribe to any ideas yourself. Do not dismiss any attempt of discourse since this is where you start to become not only pseud, but hypocrite. You absolutely can speak about that which you don't know, just make sure you stress that you are saying something that you can't prove for sure, such as - I believe, since one of the base rules of reality is uncertainty.

>All generous minds have a horror of what are commonly called “facts.” They are the brute beasts of the intellectual domain. Who does not know fellows that always have an ill-conditioned fact or two which they lead after them into decent company like so many bull-dogs, ready to let them slip at every ingenious suggestion, or convenient generalization, or pleasant fancy? I allow no “facts” at this table. What! Because bread is good and wholesome and necessary and nourishing, shall you thrust a crumb into my windpipe while I am talking? Do not these muscles of mine represent a hundred loaves of bread? and is not my thought the abstract of ten thousand of these crumbs of truth with which you would choke off my speech?

>[The above remark must be conditioned and qualified for the vulgar mind. The reader will of course understand the precise amount of seasoning which must be added to it before he adopts it as one of the axioms of his life. The speaker disclaims all responsibility for its abuse in incompetent hands.]

1. Stop using social media
2. Don't try to impress people with "knowledge"
3. Don't try to "win" any argument
4. Realize you know nothing and the devils are here.

No it isn't lol. If you read Plato and "become a pseud" anyway, then that's on you, not on the reading material.

No, keep learning so that you can discuss more. Pseuds talk about things they don't understand all the time- that's really the defining feature of the pseud.

Pseud behavior stems from insecurity, you have a need to prove yourself and feel important. So address that root cause, find things you like for their own sake and get good at them. Some of the least pseud people I've met were IMO gold medalists, they understand the limits of the knowledge, whenever we had to tackle some difficult problem, I often felt the need to spew some shit out right away, while they were not rushing anywhere but managed to arrive to a solution much quicker. They never felt the need to show off in non-math related topics also, but rather approached them with a genuine curiosity.

Fuck that! Those are the funnest discussions.

There are known unknowns, and unknown unknowns. Consider and try to categorize/catalog what are the former, and what might be the latter.
And keep the pepes.
