it is an example of a 'good' joke on /lit/. It is funny and can be applicable in many scenarios, but there is a grain of truth in there. For many people, starting with the greeks may be difficult but is a good place to start if you want to learn about literature as a whole.

I'm just here to expand my body of books to read through shitposting.
I've a terrible habit of buying books at yard sales/flea markets/thrift stores and I end up with 3rd and 5th books in series that seem fun based on the dustcover synopsis.
So I come here and pretend to have problems with the author, or series, and it pushes autists who've read it to comment and let me know if it's worth gathering the series or donating it back.
