You have to start with the greeks. If you don't understand the appeal of Schopenhauer you aren't human.

r*ddit hating this man is enough for me to make the decision to read all of his works

sorry, but it only means you're degenerate. honestly, anyone who thinks senile ramblings of some old, incel, impotent, old farts like that ape on pic, or literally any writer in general, are worth of taking seriously, is an infantile looser and is not fit to live a healthy life due to the complete absence of critical thinking

I love the fact that rebbitors have never heard of him, but have only heard of Nietzsche. The less faggot rebbitors that know philosophers & philosophy and stick to Atheism and Rick and Morty, the better.
I don't need people to know how comfy Schopenhauer's works are. People don't deserve him.

Yep. It's enough for me that he existed and wrote stuff down. None of these faggots can change that.

op here.
just read his On Women, and kinda liked it, he seems to be the most straightforward writer ever. However i didnt agreed to a lot of things that he said, but loved the most of it. The sheer clarity in his writing is something I have been looking for a lot of time in a book.

gosh reddit women

his writings arent senile ramblings, so far it felt like concrete facts, so far. Might have to read more i guess.

Read the two fundamental problems of ethics, especially the first essay.

He's sort of the common man's metaphysician. He gives metaphysical explanations for common experiences in really fluid prose, so fluid it almost makes you love him despite how utterly wrong he is about things like happiness and art.

>> No.21232819

he is a dumb man's Kant (interpreter) and his metaphysics are kinda shit, but i still read him everyday because i like the way he writes and also many of his other claims are irrefutable
