What do I need to read to understand Miguel Serrano? I'm broadly familiar with the Mahabharata, Ramayana, and Advaita Vedanta. I've read the Gita and Upanishads. I grew up protestant.

Be very familiar with Jung and read his writings from a Neoplatonic and gnostic perspective. You don't need to master Evola, but at least read Revolt Against the Modern World. Savitri Devi is good but not as essential as she's made out to be. A general understand of the occult, it doesn't need to be too advanced, is good. One thing no one mentions is the Sufism. Read a bit of Henri Corbin it'll help you a lot. The founder of the Thule Society, Sebbetendorf, was actually a Sufi Muslim. No one mentions this; I presume because of anti-Islamic tendencies. But it's definitely worth it to read up on Sufism. And if you insist on having all your bases covered, read Otto Rahn and brush up on National Socialist literature.

t. read Serrano (pbuh) too early and worked his way backwards before reading him again and having it all finally click

lol what exactly do you mean everything clicked? did you create a valkyrie (waifu tulpa) in your imagination and active the inner sonnenmensch to become the next fuhrer and escape the eternal recurrence by jumping into the void of sunya reuniting with your eternal lost lover from ancient aryan india?

I read all of ultimate avatar, serpent of paradise, el-ella and some of NOS and serrano seems schizo. I don't know why I read him in the first place, he's an interesting writer but I think over my head as I'm no adept in jung or nietzsche. Just curious as to how anyone deciphered him.

He basically just is yeah. Funny thing is Hitler would already have disliked Devi for being portrayed as some Hindu god but he probably would have absolutely hated Serrano

It seems to me that you lack a comprehension of matters that are esoteric, symbolic, and having their own living meaning. Dugin actually explains things like this pretty well for the absolute neophyte compared to Guenon and Evola. It's just something that you will "get", a sense of where you really stand on the flat circle of Time. Everything has a deeper Why if you know how to look for it.
