subsequent philosophy just tries to reinvent Plato or go into schizo-babble by taking knowledge and words for granted, hoping people will be emotionally moved by their writing.

Platonism introduced all sorts of silliness from the valuing of reason over empirical evidence, irrelevant forms of argumentation, illogical allegories and all of this became enshrined through the rise of Neo-Platonism which interestingly enough coincided with a lack of technological and intellectual progress. Only its gradual unraveling by Aristotelians and successive philosophers has begun to repair all of this damage.

Numbers aren't real. Guess Plato never took chemistry 101.
Any chem teacher worth is salt would see a paper that says "6/2=3" and ask them the very sensible question "Three what? Feet? Apples? Dogs?"

When you argument like him it's difficult to be wrong. Take for example his classification of humans. He continually narrows the scope of what humans are by creating sets of objects inheriting property a or not property a. For example bi pedal or not bi pedal. After walking down a long chain of properties unique to humans he creates a second totally different chain achieving the same effect and concludes that humans are essentially unclassifiable. He has only proven that the first set of properties is not the only set of properties unique to humans. Both sets of properties can uniquely identify a human. Example property set A could be ten fingered, large brained mammals (3 properties) and set B could be conscious, moving mammals. Both sets are unique to humans, both could be used to define humans. Maybe I missed the point, and I admit his valuable contributions to human thought the biggest of which is the 3 men in the cave in my opinion. But I also think he is a lot like the sophists which he dispises and that his political philosophy is extremely naive.

When I read this I wondered what the fuck was wrong with him and what people saw in him.

Then I read the scraps of aristotle we have left and it actually helped solve some of the things I was trying to figure out regarding modern political discussions. Pretty crazy.

you can think about a number as a condensed numeric symbol of the literal 'word'. so word = 1 then therefore to answer your question it would be word word word, or just 3 which are three 1's

None of this is actually silly, you just disagree with it and think anything you disagree with is silly. In other words, bias.
>which interestingly enough coincided with a lack of technological and intellectual progress
Neo-Platonism reached its pinnacle right at the time humanity reached its (relative) technological apex of the classical period. That's not to imply Neo-Platonism was the cause of technological advancement, but you're flat out wrong. Neo-Platonism declined with the rise of Christianity and the decline of the Empire (the "dark ages").
