My brother almost went to the Batman shooting. He was hanging out at my place and thinking about where to take his fiance for the evening. I suggested the premiere. The Aurora theatre was closest, but he didn't quite have time to pick her up, get to the venue, and purchase tickets to get in before the trailers were over.
So they went out to dinner or something instead. I don't remember.

They ended up divorcing a few years later due to her false DV allegations. It ruined his life and he killed himself over it.

I wish I'd told him about the premiere half an hour sooner. Sure, he might have gotten shot, but then she might have too.
