More information needed because there is an argument that fits into a broader dialogue about sex, kink, and rape all being about control and power.

Similarly there's an idea in a sort of role-playing sense that a rape fetish could be a way of "taking back power".

Should you accept the replacement of your culture as an inevitable phenomenon? Part of me wants to not give a single fuck about all of this because I'm not even European or American. The truth is, multiculturalism has existed for hundreds of years in all of North and South America, since the Europeans first arrived and imported millions of african slaves, changing the ethnic and cultural background of the continent forever, sealing its fate. Lets use Latin America as an example, a land full of inequality, crime, poverty and social differences that can be traced back to the colonial period were people were seperated into social class and caste. Despite all of this, Latin America has been able to produce excellent writers and poets. Now, with Europe I would assume the situation to be bit different, perhaps. In just a few decades Europe went from being majority European christian to a diverse multicultural and multireligious society, France for example is now around 10% black and who knows what % muslim. Historically speaking, migrations have always occured, ethnics groups belonging to different empires and nations have always fought wars, displacing, replacing or integrating into other foreign tribes, this can be traced back to the Roman times and their wara against the germanic tribes or even tracing back farther to the neanderthals and homo sapiens. However, can we predict the outcomes of such massive migrations into Europe? Perhaps we can think of Brazil or the US as clear examples of the future that awaits for the European continent, a social and political chaos filled with ethnic and religious tension and disputes between different groups.

Will this be the end of western type of intellectualism, art and literature? What can we expect of these abrupt social changes taking places in countries that have historically produced some of the greatest thinkers to ever exist?

Being unlucky begats weakness in a very physiological sense.
Blood Glucose is your 'energy level'. Your brain consumes a lot of the glucose in your blood, the more you "think" and "focus" the more it uses up.
Your immune system also uses a lot of Glucose, and when you're fighting off illness or repairing tissue that can take away the energy needed for cognition.
If you're unlucky you're more likley to have money problems. This can cause you to enter a state that everybody knows, we call it "stress". Among other things when you're stressed you have elevated cortisol levels. Cortisol breaks down muscle to convert it into blood glucose. Stress obviously elevates your heart rate, to get the energy to where it needs to be quicker. This is fine in small bursts but if you live under constant uncertainty, such as living paycheck to paycheck, or in a abusive relationship or a war zone or have a demanding job you will probably be chronically stressed. That means not only is your body constantly pumping cortisol that breaks down muscles, not only that it means that your blood pressure remains elevated which can cause tears to form in your blood vessels where cholesterol (another symptom of elevated metabolism) can build up. If you were more relaxed then the body would spend blood glucose on repairing these torn tissues in your vessels and other organs. But you don't so it doesn't, which causes cascades of health problems, that probably mean you can't work "as hard" anymore and compromise your earning power. While the blood glucose being used constantly trying to fight off stress induced health problems means you make poorer decisions than you might. You also have less muscle mass because of the cortisol.

No because I think the European dream is a fiction: it is not a homoegenous and unified socio-political entity and therefore it's "future" will vary regionally (an extreme example will be how Paris and London's destinies will be vastly different from the socioeconomic trajectories of those places around them).

I have reverse Seasonal Affective Disorder and it causes me to be more restless and agitated in the brighter seasons. I've found ways to deal with the difficulty sleeping and reduce the inability to concentrate, but I can't get settled enough to write extensively like in the winter months. It's like I'm wired all the time and my cortisol levels are abnormal.

I may try Ashwagandha and see if it works, but I don't think it'll make much of a difference. I was hesitant due to the potential side effects, but I generally haven't had any problems with any of the supplements I take, so I should be alright.

I don't play them anymore but it's interesting how they keep trying to up the ante, bigger worlds, bigger promises, everything - but the actual companies just don't have the ability to deliver on that promise. Making a AAA game (or AAAA or whatever) is a huge gamble unless you stick to a boring formula like Ubisoft. Also it has a pretty similar talent pool as tech in general but pays worse and has poor work life balance. So if a recession really does come soon it'll be pretty damn bad.

But I'm not sure who to blame desu. The industry just got too big. There's too much money in it, and that can be a bad thing. Would Hollywood be better if they disregarded the Chinese market? Absolutely. But corporations exist to maximize revenue, so they won't. If you can't compete, you lose. The only way I see this changing is if some great new format springs up to promote all kinds of games. The current model is just broken.

It was easy to let myself into their houses; with my curiosity so satisfied I left. To be honest, at the first glance I would have been frightened if I had found the door locked. Yet I had never felt like this with my own family. No one locked their door, there were no secrets in my family, so I left when I got bored, although I would sometimes feel like a traitor. But I didn’t feel like I was a child intruding on adult space. On the contrary, I felt that I was a free individual in the right place at the right time, and the others, of course, were completely irrelevant to me. I would stand in the hall listening to music, for instance, to music that someone was playing in their room. There is a kind of intimacy to that, isn’t there, listening to someone at home, if they don’t know that you’re listening, what you’re looking at. How I loved to listen to the music in other people’s houses, it took me back to my own home, to the piano teacher playing the piano downstairs at the house on Järnvägsgatan and how I would often open the front door, and when I was about to step inside, it was as if a secret hand grasped my upper arm, I looked up to find a face smiling down at me. It was like that, I had been so much at home in that house, I had felt so at home in that house, when I would turn the knob with my hand, the door didn’t open. I walked up to the house many times and tried to open the door myself, but always with the same result, as if it was locked, except that the door was open. In the morning when I got up I always looked to see if I was where I was supposed to be, at the kitchen table, in the corner of the bed. Even though I was at home I was never where I was supposed to be, and the door was always open. I never thought about what it might mean to open the front door and enter that house as if I were coming into my own home, except that this house was actually my own, the only place I had that was really mine. The piano teacher was my mother, but then I lived in the house, I slept there, in that room on the top floor in that very bed. And every morning I came into that house, looked for a chair in the living room where I could sit down and relax, and when I did that I realized how much I was missing my own life, I realized I was living somewhere else in someone else’s apartment, I slept there but I was nowhere. I had no home of my own. I thought this was wonderful, for no one else had a life, only I had a life, not my mother, and not the other adults in the house, who were a childless married couple who loved each other. I went into the room and sat in the armchair and listened to the music and thought that this was all right, that it was as if everything were right in my world, as if I could have a life, even though the house seemed empty, or more precisely, as if I didn’t belong.

well on some level, perhaps. But the intention (argh, i suppose it differs obviously from author and subject) isn't always supposed to be visual.

The way it was sort of phrased made it seem like the person thought they should be like having a linear movie play in front of their eyes, or something like that.

A set linear narrative of a film is usually .. linear .. so the reader would usually miss out on the vast majority of things going on. It is a difference in writing styles, obviously. It seems more like a simple childrens story, such as Star Wars, versus ... idk ... Martials Epigrams, or something more layered, extrapolative and macro, written for an intelligent audience to scoff at, rather than a wide-eyed audience to gawk at.

well, yes. I suppose that is true... but it's a very superficial way to approach literature and entertainment.
