>book has multiple prefaces
No one here actually reads all these right?

>> No.20188320

Depends on who wrote them.

What if I wrote one of those?

Prefaces, yes, they're by the author and could matter. Forewords/intros, some of them. Research who writes it. Confederacy of Dunces foreword was written by the man who got it published, and he relays an interesting little story about it I'm glad to have read.

I read the foreword and the preface to the current book I'm reading. Then again, they were each two pages and the entire book itself is less than 200.

I come back and read them after finishing the book, sometimes, if I feel so compelled. If it's just some dude jizzing his pants about how good the book is then I don't bother.
