Pretty much the same here. After a while, you get bored of all the imagery with piss and eggs. It's okay-ish with interesting moments (especially with the priest) but I can't really say it's anything I intend to read again.

I think it's good because it endears you to the characters and hence to their fetishism. In that way it's an effective apology of fetishism in the form of a narrative, which is what Bataille intended to achieve.
