I only wish some of the great white nationalists of the 90s, like Samuel Francis, could have stuck around for another 10 or 20 years to see how things would turn out. It's not perfect, but at least white European racial self-consciousness exists now, and all the insane belligerence and racism coming from non-whites in white countries is the best thing one could hope for.

Nah it's okay. Things had to get worse before they could get better. The frog-boiling of the last 70 years was the greatest weapon the enemy had, and now it's gone. Better yet, all their attempt to regain it have been incompetent and worsened their position further, because they got so arrogant and complacent over that 70 years.

Look at how Rhodesia held out. Like Germany, they only lost when the entire world conspired to destroy them. What Rhodesia and South Africa suffered while "at peace" (slow white genocide, frog-boiling) is a million times worse than the wars.

We're still about to go through years of Weimar, you're right. But what came after Weimar? Let the Pakis in England and the Turks in Germany and Arabs and Somalis in France keep doing their victory laps. Like Marx said:
>“The real pressure must be made more oppressive by making men conscious of the pressure, and the disgrace more disgraceful by publishing it.”

People can bounce back from anything if they still have their core intact. One generation of sumptuary legislation and promoting family-raising in a healthy population can undo a century of shit. Europe isn't down and out yet.

Less and less people are "aware" as you say so. You seem to think that this is not the case because you spend your time around people who can see and believe that they're the majority. Still, a lot of people are indeed informed when it comes to certain things, but never when it comes to the essentials, never when it comes to what truly matters, only the superficial. You also seem to believe that people are still united, mentionning Rhodesia, instead of atomized individuals under a constant watch. To me this is some prime cope, of fine quality with how ambiguous it is. Overall the era of the western man is completely over and what comes next will outclass our worst expectations.

Jim’s hand was sweating inside his mitt. It was sweating so much that he could feel it seeping into the leather. This was his first appearance for his high school’s team, and he was determined to, as he put it, do himself justice. Jim was not a popular boy at school, primarily because he was rather ugly. He was a short boy, and would be described as ‘stocky’ by someone who was either too nice or too cynical to admit anything worse. His sagging cheeks and heavy set eyes, framed by large bags either side, made him look like a basset hound. By some miracle, he had been selected to play in today’s fixture. That miracle, in fact, was his mother’s occasional ‘visits’ to Coach Henricks, which Jim was entirely aware of. He’d begun to view the coach as a father figure of sorts, and would say things like ‘Hey, Dad!’ when he passed Henricks, who was usually glistening with sweat, in the thin hallway that bisected his mother’s trailer. Henricks, although slightly disturbed, thought it was ‘harmless’, or harmless enough, and played along somewhat. And so, Jim had found himself on the team, as a one of its five pitchers. His compatriots, all of whom were significantly better at baseball, and significantly more handsome, regarded him with an air of quiet dread.

I don't agree but I'll stop short of calling you a concern troll. If your goal was to take 1950s white nations and preserve them entire, then sure, things have gotten bad. But you have to understand, the rot that was infecting white nations was a spiritual disease. Openness to being colonized, raped, and killed by non-whites is a symptom of that disease, not the disease itself.

Europe was going to go through this massive binge, withdrawal, relapse, withdrawal, etc., process regardless. Globalist elites of various kinds knew this, and their mission was to use this period of, essentially, the West being in a coma and helpless, to infect it with as much filth and decadence as possible. They did a good job, but not enough. They wounded and degraded the enemy but didn't kill him. That's always the most dangerous thing you can do.

Europe was the first, only, and hopefully the last civilization in the history of mankind to essentially conquer the entire world and have the luxury of stepping back from it to ask "so... what now?" It's understandable in hindsight, given the benevolence, openness, and high philosophical and high moral character of Indo-European peoples that the decision was basically to try to create a universal world state where everybody gets along, everybody is prosperous, war is forgotten. The tragic outcome of this utopianism will never be forgotten unless some apocalypse wipes all records of it from the Earth.

All sorts of strange things happen in war. Hannibal was at the gates of Rome for years. No one expected Brest-Litovsk, or for the Germans to break out and almost take France in the Spring Offensive. You shouldn't count out the forces of evil or their useful idiots (immigrant fifth columns) either, that would be just as naive, but I wouldn't count out whites. There's at least one last apocalyptic fight left in them, and the whole world is unstable and uncertain, and doesn't even have the will to encircle them and finish the job started by liberal decadence.

I think another two key failures of globohomo's long-term strategy was their failure to prevent India from becoming self-consciously nationalist and their failure to crush the Muslim countries more than they did. Like with whites, all they did was humiliate them without finishing them off.

There are whole plotlines buried in what you think are side characters, stuff that only weaves together across whole seasons. And it's not just incidental fluff either, it always relates both to the themes of the show and the overarching main plot.

It's funny because that so called universalism was a leftist ideals pushed by leftists and globalists, while the traditionalists didn't want in the first place to colonize. It's the leftists who pushed the idea that the white man had to conquer and civilize the non-white, the "right wing" political figures and intellectuals wanted to ignore them. France and the UK were the most touched. India doesn't matter and is irrelevant to the European struggle, maybe you're indian yourself and fool yourself idk. Overall this is all a convoluted cope, but there are some truth to it, not in the uniqueness of the situation but in the fact that it's never over until all the cards have been played.

Still, there is no war, the spiritual struggle is decentralized, the repugnancy some whites feel towards other cultures and people doesn't come from a desire to save their own, but from a desire to be left in peace while ignoring their own in favor of mindless consumerism. This is why Japan is loved, the toy makers of the world, they're not problematic at all, but their creations are as insidiously destructice if not more than some aspects Muslims or black show. This is why I believe it cannot work, despite what I said earlier about uncertainty, a war is fought offensively, not defensively.

>classical art forms aren't really evolving anymore
This is happening because communications and technologies have evolved beyond the mediums embraced by "classical" (what do you mean by this exactly?) art forms, in the same manner as genres like oral poetry disappeared after printing technologies appeared and gave rise to newer art forms like the novel. An art form does not exist independently of medium. Likewise the shape that the novel or poetry took in modernist times depended on the communications and technologies of that time. Ten centuries prior to the modernist era, most written material that existed was either theological or documentary/historical because most people couldn't even read. Communications affect the medium and art form.

In the XXIst century communication methods have changed so immensely, it is stupid to expect what we call "high culture" to immediately adapt. What you refer to as "pop culture", which has always existed and is really "folk art", is always quicker to adapt, because it is simple and non-referential in nature. Of course new forms of high art will arise, but being more complex high art takes more time to establish its ground. This has nothing to do with "artists aspiring for the future before but not anymore" (kek this is very idealistic), it has to do with the fact that "the world" has changed too much. If you know history of art and humanity you know that newer forms of art will appear.

>I feel that our ancestors aspired for a certain vision of the future and it became warped in the process,
"OUR" ancestors who? Who is we? My (Eastern European) ancestors were busy sacrificing fellow villagers to the local fire god up until the Xth century when they got forcibly evangelised. Then they were busy being fucked in the ass by the autocratic state, suffering famine and tyranny and serfdom. What vision for the future? How can you be so naive?

Both of these sorts often appeal to "hey man this is just the way it's always been and always will be! These statements:
>Of course new forms of high art will arise
>newer forms of art will appear.
and your incredulity about the other poster's concern for "our" ancestors (yes, we have common ancestors) for transcendent ideals (which are "naive") are good indicators of a complacent progressive worldview, even if we weren't living at a time of deliberate assault on everything good and beautiful.

>> No.19648876

The internet is a force for good against 20th century style propaganda, honestly. The issue is it brings problems of its own.
>No internet or digital technologies yet
I know. There is really no propaganda machine currently alive as powerful as the ones that existed in the first half of the 20th century, when you could conceivably form some kind of monopoly on the media people consumed.
>By the way printed literature is amazing for censorship and propaganda
Amazing? What makes you say that?
It's possible, of course, but emotional manipulation is scores easier to accomplish through something image-based as opposed to printed text that requires you to think it through and agree with it. Books themselves are not passive media but active, you have to think in order to process what you read.

>"our" ancestors (yes, we have common ancestors)
If you are Western European/American, and I am Eastern European, we DO NOT actually share common genetic snips, ethnically speaking. Beyond common ancestors from a very, very long time ago, of course. That’s a fun fact for you. In contemporary genetics Eastern and Western Europeans aren’t viewed as being the same genetic group. So with all due respect do not put me in your basket.
As for your accusation of me being “complacent and progressive” from “the tone of my post” - wherein I have not mentioned politics at all, I imagine that anything that you can’t immediately categorize into your narrow meme political compass sends your brain into Error 404? Anyway, I am technically a rightwinger.

>> No.19648950

Forgot to mention, do you mean that newer forms of art like, won’t appear? Ever? In the history of humanity? Thinking they will appear is progressive and complacent? I am just someone who studies art history.

>> No.19648990

>>19648924
Ancestry is more than genetics, and anyway you are being reductive again, and shifting goalposts. I'll refrain from wondering about your actual heritage, but I'm guessing your "Eastern European" ancestors were unusually itinerant.

>>19648950
Responding to someone complaining about the decline of art and the degeneracy of postmodernity by calling his concern "naive," implying that shared traditions don't exist across time, and assuring him that postmodernity will inevitably bear fruit (as opposed to being a dangerous illness that needs to be fought) is either a progressive view, or just complacent, or both, yes.

Maybe you should spend less time "studying art history" and more time experiencing historical art, since "studying" has made you more interested in casuistry than anything else.

I am not Western European. I love being Russian, I love my historical heritage. The history, the culture, and the ethnicity of this land is, has always been, and will always be different from that of Western Europe. This is a unique nation with an absolutely unique destiny. If any of that is true, then you have nothing to be so defensive about. I still think your initial post could be misconstrued, and people who are concerned about the decline of art should be encouraged to think about these problems, not discouraged in the same way "descriptivist" linguists discourage people from taking the degeneration of language into ebonics and slang as a problem. Such linguists are always ideologically motivated (promoting degeneracy, excusing decay), as I felt your original post to be.

But if that was truly a misunderstanding, then who cares? Whether or not we agree on Russia's genetic makeup, I agree that Russia is unique (like every other European country, which doesn't negate their common ancestry either).

Have you ever had the experience where you find a person on the internet and sort of–fall in love with them? I found someones WordPress blog and read its entirety, then I dug a bit more and found out they briefly wrote for a fashion magazine, I read all of their articles. the more of their writing I read the more I was fond of it.

i used to do a small little thing where i would play music and talk about the news, it was my own little radio show, and i had 10 or so listeners on a decent night. i enjoyed it a ton, but unfortunately it ended suddenly for me. so i decided to try twitch streaming, and while i have a small following there, i really don’t enjoy it as much as when i was doing my radio thing, I think its because i really like music and i had the flexibility to prepare mid show. i miss it.

i was thinking about the book fear and loathing in Las Vegas, and while i haven’t actually read it, the concept of it is very intriguing. i kinda would like to do journalism like that, perhaps for my school. i wouldn’t mind writing some snarky bullshit about an event i went to. new semester is starting up in a week so it might be a decent idea. my idea to marketing would be just to make a few qr code stickers and slap them around or hand out little cards with them on it. but the problem is that most people are pretty glued to their current favorite social media websites

i kinda want to get into Pinterest cause it seems like a pretty good system for mood boarding, but then again i really don’t like Pinterest at a fundamental level cause they make navigating the rest of the web much more of a pain in the ass. but it does seem like the best way to gather a cohesive sense of fashion or tattoo ideas or shit like that. but its probably just a waste of time like most other social media.

It’s like how I imagine being a long distance trucker is. Most of the time you’re alright, not too bad, you zone out, look at the trees, listen to the radio. Sometimes you stop and take in the view and it’s good and the sun lights up the world in just the right way and it makes you glad and it makes it feel like everything up until this point was worth it just to see the autumn leaves in that sunlit valley. As though it’s in exchange there are the low points too. Once every few months it’s raining, not even the fun loud scary rain, just gray boring drizzle for a few days. The traffic is bad and you’re tired of listening to the radio and you’re tired of zoning out. You think about how even though there are hundreds of people on this highway, inside your truck you are alone. And you’ve been alone for a long time.

The first person in the modern West who responds to a political dispute by killing their opponent will reap great reward, but also usher in the new dark ages.

I feel like all the modern West has built to this. The removal of Christianity and its restraints. The polarization of society along political lines. The frustration with established political parties. The rise of unconvential politcal figures who flout rules and decorum, from Macron to Boris Johnson to Trump to Duterte. A general feeling of anger and wrath bubbling among the common people.

I really do think we're not far from some mayor or governor or regional leader responding to a serious challenge from a rival by having them and their associates killed. Everyone associates this with barbarism that has no place in the modern West. But how civilized is the West, these days? How civilized are we, really?

I think we are not at all far from a Western politician ordering his opponents to be killed. And that will make him very powerful because it will be a shocking event, something not seen in the Western world since the rise of Hitler. But it will also usher in the new dark age in the West because all vestiges of politeness will be removed and everyone will seek any advantage they can, up to and including simply killing their rivals for power.

I mean, the job’s okay. Usually I like the silence, the peace and quiet. It’s fun even, I listen to radio plays and audiobooks. But every few months like clockwork you get to thinking. Do I really want to be driving this truck for the rest of my life?
The worst of it is. And this is hard to say. Hard to admit. But.
Sometimes there’s a chance to get out of it, an old friend could get you a nice office job, you’re qualified for it and it would be interesting work. Or there’s an ad for a job you think you really would like. But that night at the truck stop you think it over. Maybe you’ve been trucking along for too long now and you can’t rebuild yourself for something else. You had that part time job dish washing back in high school and you remember how awful that was. You miss the interview, forget to call, back on the road. But it tears at you sometimes, every few months. The teeth of it sink that much deeper because you know you had the chance to take that job and you let it slip.
You’re still young, you’ll have so many other chances. Part of you knows that you want it and part of you tells you that no matter how many chances come you will always let them go. Because you were built that way from the start. You keep on driving, you turn on the radio again and there’s some comedian on and he tells a joke that hits in just the right spot. You feel the smile fight your lips for dominance and eventually win. He continues, into a whole story that sets up all the pins for the conclusion to knock away. You laugh and it feels good, the clouds are breaking up and there’s a good stretch of road ahead, quiet, with some good views of the Rocky Mountains. You like this guy, you’ll have to remember to look him up next time you stop. Maybe he has a Netflix special.

How are misfits treated.

I see the problem as a cultural one. We come to be in a world where everything and everyone has a place. And some just don't work out very well. Has anyone actually been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? My point is that I don't think so. -- We just don't fit in. We are outcasts in this world, we don't know how to act and that is the biggest problem. We don't know how to act. I say this is a cultural issue because knowing how to act directly connects to this issue. Everything has a time and place but because of things we have on our heads, things that are in our subconscious, a skewed vision of reality, an expectation, things go wrong. I like to think that the Jungian intuitive vs. sensor dichotomy explains well here. Sensors are way less likely to dream and wish and expect things to be a certain way. And most of the deep internet is full of intuitives. Non-normalfags most definitely. It can't be taken to a rule but it still applies very much so. Sensors fit in, they are made to fit in. They are the square shapes, fitting in square holes. Even their dreams are retarded. But specifically on dreams, even with more simple things in life, like on interactions with women, a sensor type is a bit less likely to fail because of the mental neurosis obstacles. Because they don't have dreams. They are braindead, they don't think, they see and respond. Now this can be a big advantage in most parts of life, but let's say you had very capitalistic dreams, making it big, having a creative output, well then the other type wins here by far. It's simple not made for them, they are fillers of the public.

But besides all the MBTI stuff, it is mental neurosis that gets in front of people's thinking, people here that is. We have the weirdest dreams, unfitting, suffering. People with common sense try to fit in the world, people without it try to change it. As much common sense has (I guess?) some advantages, it is mostly for the simple minded. The problem with common sense is that the common man is a fool. What you have to do is take your neurosis and put it to work. From the example earlier, if it's a woman you want, it can also provide you extremely valuable creativity. Make it work. That is right now what I'm figuring out in life.

This is called the Ballmer Peak. It happens to everyone anon. I imagine Europeans are able to thread the balance far better than Americans. And I say that as a burger myself.

>The Ballmer Peak, a reference to Steve Ballmer of Microsoft, holds that imbibing alcohol improves cognitive ability, up to a point–a variation of the Yerkes-Dodson law, which shows a correlation between arousal and performance

Ok, I'll try to phrase this better because I've already posted it 10 times without getting a response to my incoherent nonsense. I'm looking for a book that explains the problem and helps me with it. Let's take the 21 meme clip for example. Let's imagine that this meme, which appears to have been shot in North America, was actually filmed in the middle of nowhere in Siberia. While there is of course no reason to assume this, it is not unrealistic. It's that potential that gets me. As does the left's obsession with authenticity, that much could be staged, that many things that appear to be connected are in fact only pretending to be. Moreover, these little pieces of fake evidence also imply consequences which the viewer believes to be concluded by himself, thus subconciously assuming authenticity, but in reality these fragments were only baits. I am looking for the science of ordering these fragments. The second problem I have is a constant "emotional-aesthetic relativization" of the present, something similar to Fear Of Missing Out. Basically a constant recognition of the fragments in my own everyday life, fragments that are composing my own emotions, fragments that are potentially arbitrary. For example, when I walk at a foggy evening, listening to music, there are too many contexts questioning the moment, it's not "real" in a certain way, because of all the contexts that are not integrated in the present decision of taking a walk. My walk happens in the context of a mongolian boxing match, chaturbate porn livestreams, people suffering and if we want to blur the line between fiction and reality, in Bikini Bottom. The burden of potential.

>The first person in the modern West who responds to a political dispute by killing their opponent will reap great reward, but also usher in the new dark ages.
So what about the people who killed:
>MLK Jr.
>Malcolm X
>Robert Kennedy
>JFK
And someone attempted to kill a Republican congressman (Steve Scalise) a few years back. If you want to get conspiratorial, what about Epstein or even Seth Rich?

It's not even mentioning the discourse these days. Liberals, in the United States at least, would love nothing more than to be able to line up and shoot all conservatives. Leftists would love to do the same as well. And frankly many conservatives would love to do the reverse. This isn't even mentioning all the ethnic tensions. People daydreaming about "the day of the rope" on /pol/ or celebrating declining white populations on mainstream social media is not healthy but it's where we are at. My point is that the new dark ages, as you put it, have already begun, they began decades ago.

Yesterday I posted on Instagram a small poem, some kind of satyrical canto based on the city I live. The result so far was satisfying, and I'm prud of my work that took almost a month, and also it has been the first time I publish one of my writings. The problem was that on this forsaken platform I didn't get the "virtual appreciation" I expected, despite being something innovative that nobody has done before. I mean, for a month of work I got much less success than my others project that took a few days to finish. Call me shallow, but I thought that this hard work would have "uplifted" a bit my social status. Instead, at least for now, from that point of view it seemed all vain.

Similar scales are used in real personality science today, difference is that there are way more grey areas and underlying complexities than theyve thought back in the 1940s when mbti was made. Many things seemed like opposites and two choices while they arent, you can be intuitive and observational. Being 49%/51% is actually the average score for most people, so it is its own thing instead of you being inbetween something.

As men every pursuit to distinguish oneself is intertwined with the general goal of getting pussy To varying degrees each one is wired to gain control over the material world (through work, gaining ststus etc) to get as much sex as possible. This is just the forces at work it's stupid but necessary. If you're having trouble with high status men then its just a consequence of the Sharpest Lives because as your power increases so does corruption unfortunately.

>having trouble with high status men then its just a consequence of the Sharpest Lives because as your power increases so does corruption unfortunately.
What do you mean by Sharpest Lives? All I can find is a My Chemical Romance song about drug abuse and a relationship. If you're saying gaining high status is like a drug that comes at the price of losing your own soul, I agree, but I don't know if I'm jumping a rail here or something.

A good piece of work I read from an Indian American scholar on (what I think is) the gist of your topic:

>There is a certain pervasive and inescapable toxicity (biological, chemical, and psychological) that exists in India, which leads to even wealthy people born there to end up much shorter, physically weaker, and less attractive than a person of the same genetics would be in a better environment (see 'Indian Americans' below). This pattern is pervasive, and, again, affects wealthy people all the same. As evidence, observe how poorly India does at the Olympics, vs. the fact that Indians born in the West have a much higher proportion of top-tier athletes in their ranks. More subjectively, the average Western-born Indian woman would place at about the 85th percentile of looks among young women from prosperous backgrounds of the same age in India. There is little awareness of this, and even wealthy Indians have too little exposure to the outside world to even notice (or otherwise choose to nurture a denial). But this comprises a massive and preventable wastage of human capital.

>Indian Americans: Indian Americans are the most successful nation-categorized ethnic group in the US by household income, bar none. This is atypical, as it is commonplace for immigrants from poor countries to underperform in the United States as well. There is no other example where the diaspora in the US has anywhere near as large a gap with the prosperity of the original country. As this fact is not yet widely known, when it becomes such, many things about US and international geopolitics will adjust in surprising directions.

>It is often claimed that the Indians in the US are the 'cognitive elite' of India, but that is not quite true. Why would that be more true of India than of China, or Russia, or Brazil, or Pakistan? In my experience, the Indians in the US come from the Top 20% of India, ranked by intelligence, but not weighted towards the Top 1% by any stretch, as is sometimes claimed by those who want to minimize Indian-American success. Many of the wealthiest Indians in the US are owners of hotel and gas station networks, rather than elite white collar professionals with advanced degrees.

>Despite this success, foreign-born Indian Americans have a relatively low assimilation index in the United States, at least in terms of measures outside of economic success. They are quick to limit their socializing to not just other Indians, but others from the same sub-ethnicity if enough of those people are to be found in their town. For this reason, the generation gap between US-born children of Indian immigrants and their parents is among the highest of any ethnic group. Of course, the assimilation rate of the US-born 2nd generation is the only one that matters, as the foreign-born parents eventually fade out.

>>I am disgusted to see some Indian-Americans trying to cash in by packaging themselves as 'anti-white' propagandists. This is extremely unwise and entirely without justification, since white Americans and Canadians are the least racist white people on Earth; Indians wouldn't be so successful here if most whites were racist towards Indians. Plus, Indians partaking in this are appropriating the real historical oppression of African Americans and Native Americans by doing so. It is far better to be seen as a 'model minority' than a 'hostile elite' (the only two choices available given the low assimilation rate of Indians), particularly when one can point out, with full justification, that these individuals are free to leave and go to India rather than complain over here. They are also abusing the fact that to Americans, India is the second most favorably perceived non-Western country and most favorably perceived country in the world among those without an advanced economy. Furthermore, the aforementioned types of Indians tend to get onto trends that are already peaking and in decline, and are a reliable indicator of such.

I read a comment years ago about catcher in the rye asking why he raped his sister and ever since then I just took it as a given that it happened in the book. I finally got around to reading the book today and the whole time I was expecting a rape scene and wondering how the fuck he would get to a point of raping his 10 year old sister and how it would be done in such a way that this book is used in highschools and it never happened.

I took a relative to the city hospital this week.

The three main hospitals are at 100% capacity with covid. The ER has a 40 hour wait time, which we attempted to begin. There was vomit, blood, and god-knows-what everywhere. People had been waiting on gurneys for days.

The woman ahead of us was having a heart attack. She was doubled over in agony as her pacemaker failed. She was told by the rude black security woman that has to wait "fowty hours like errvryone else."

I went outside and made some phone calls. I found an ER about twenty miles away in a white community with about a 10 hour wait. As I walked back in, the pacemaker woman was "going home to die," in her own agonized words. Security asked if she was my mother. I said no, but she's going to die soon if she doesn't get attention. They were indifferent.

I wonder if she's dead? Anyway, its a good thing I got my relative out of there and to a much nicer place. Security nearly didn't let me back in to retrieve her. Wanded me down and made me spread 'em like a prisoner.

I'm self-isolating as I had to go into the covid isolation room of the waiting room to retrieve a wheelchair. Very sad. Hot young chicks on the floor with oxygen tanks.

I should be more shocked, but as a pessimist, none of this is really out of place.

Had a friend who worked an EMT job and he said during the height of COVID 90% of the deaths were probably from regular illnesses and heart attacks not getting an ambulance or sitting in the hospital waiting room for hours, shit that would have been a minor inconvenience a month earlier was now a death sentence because you can't get the basic medical care for it.

Yeah. That prediction about the overwhelmed healthcare system? Spot-on. Nice prediction, prediction guy. Someone should give that guy a trophy.

I'm definitely going over my own priorities now. I'm thinking it would be smart to stock up on pain meds, even illegally, to facilitate a more peaceful death at home. It would be preferable to what was going on in there.

Don't know whether to accept antidepressants. I can get through life, I'm not suicidal, but I feel almost nothing. Nothing seems to have any importance. I can occasionally enjoy something but it's like it's behind a screen / doesn't really count. Maybe it's "anhedonia". Will medication even do anything for this? Am I just aging?

I found that after I turned my life around there is still something stopping me from enjoying things again. It's my head but in its physical manifestation. There is extreme tension in my muscles and so on, it hurts all the time and I can't enjoy things. This is due to decades of sitting in front of a screen while doing nothing. I'm just now starting to do things against this but it really is a nuisance.
