Is Sowell actually worth reading or is he just another republican bullshit artist

>> No.19422429

>>19422403
He's been grifting since the 80's - pure charlatan.

>> No.19422434

Sowell makes a lot of good points about society and oppression without having to rely on hackneyed stereotypes and "the ghosts of slavery" type BS. But that doesn't mean he isn't ideological and falls into similar pratfalls. Don't ask /lit/, just read.

Yes, and if you want to understand the nightmare hell we live in read up on the business cycle, but with books written pre-1970. The economic hell we live in is a medicine that was worse then the disease.

Any recommendations?

He's basically a more articulate boomer conservative.

>> No.19422763

He's a typical "free market = god" American lolbertarian. Might try to frame himself as radical or as the GOP's token black but is ultimately indistinguishable from basic Reaganism

Let's just put it this way: I wouldn't mind sharing our country with blacks if they were all like Thomas Sowell.

He's a burger, and a burger who writes about burgerpolitics at that, which means probably never wrote anything of value.

I once drove to nearby Jordan, Minnesota just to see what the town was like and also to make sure there wasn't any child rapin' occurrin'. Seemed like a pretty chill place. I asked dad about the case once and he said the accusations were bogus and ruined lots of innocent people's lives, but in fact (only) one of the group was convicted. It seems like it was an 80's satanic panic/witch trial sort of thing. I wonder if Albini ever recanted his view on the thing (or if he really had good reason to, or not).
